CHARLES M. KASANZIKI BIODATA

Mr. Charles M. KASANZIKI is Rwandan, Lecturer at University of Rwanda, School of Agricultural Engineering, Department of Irrigation and Drainage and PhD student at Makerere University, Agriculture and Rural Innovation. This PhD have been compromised for about 3 years during the period of closing borders between Uganda and Rwanda which is added to COVID 19 issue but in 20022 some activities seem to be in a good restarting process.
He has a Master’s degree in Water Resources and Environmental Management from the University of Rwanda 2008 (UR) and a Bachelor Degree in Chemistry from ISP Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo, 1989. Charles is an academic staff at the University of Rwanda since 2010. Prior to joining University of Rwanda, Charles served in different sectors including :
1. Researcher at INSTITUT DE RECHERCHE SCIENTIFIQUE ET TECHNIQUE,
2. Director of Education, Youth and Culture in the former province of BUTARE
3. Head of Department at University of Rwanda / SEPU (Service de Pedagogie Universitaire)
4. National Assistant Coordinator for Rwanda of Nile Basin Initiative, Applied Training.

He is currently the chairperson of IHP UNESCO Rwanda (Intergovernmental Hydrological Program under Rwandan National Commission of UNESCO Rwanda). Mr. KASANZIKI’s PhD research proposal is : « Impact of Hilltop Land use/Land Cover Management Community Practices on Downstream Surface Water. His research will contribute to a sustainable watershed management in Rwanda.
