Brief Profile
Mehari Desta earned his Ph.D. in Molecular Plant Pathology from Northwest A&F University in June 2021. He also earned his MSc degree in Plant pathology, and BSc degree in Crop Production and Protection from Ambo University, Ethiopia. He is a lecturer and researcher in the University of Rwanda, College of Agriculture, Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (UR-CAVM). He worked as a lecturer for Woldia University and served as head of the department of Plant Sciences for about three years. Mehari also worked as a lecturer in Adigrat University in the department of Plant Sciences. He worked as an assistant and associate researcher in Tigray Agricultural Research Institution (TARI) for five years. He also worked as a Phyto sanitation specialist in Ethiopia cuttings PLC, Syngenta. He also served as an expert in Crop Protection in the Hawzen district.
