UR held its 11th Graduation Ceremony at Huye Campus Stadium in October 17, 2025, celebrating the achievements of thousands of students who successfully completed their studies across the university’s seven colleges. Among them, the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Food Science (CAFF) stood out, graduating 981 students, including 39 postgraduates and 942 undergraduates. The ceremony marked a proud moment for the college as it reaffirmed its vital role in promoting innovation, food security, and sustainable agriculture in Rwanda.
Addressing the graduates, Dr. Guillaume Nyagatare, Ag. Principal of UR-CAFF, congratulated them for their perseverance and dedication to excellence throughout their academic journey.
“Our graduates are well equipped with scientific knowledge and practical skills that will help transform agriculture, promote food security, and ensure environmental sustainability,” he said.
Dr. Nyagatare further highlighted the importance of research and technology in solving real-world agricultural challenges, emphasizing that CAFF’s mission is to produce innovators capable of driving Rwanda’s transition toward modern, knowledge-based farming systems.
For many graduates, the ceremony was a day of joy, reflection, and new beginnings. Harriette Iradukunda, who earned a degree in Food Science and Technology, shared her aspiration to contribute to Rwanda’s Agro-processing industry.
