Brief Profile
Richard holds a bachelor of veterinary medicine, a master’s degree in diseases control - tropical animal health and a Ph.D. in applied parasitology. His research interest is parasitic and neglected tropical diseases, particularly of zoonotic nature. Over the recent past, he has been conducting research on transmission dynamics of vector-borne diseases at the human-wildlife-livestock interface of Akagera National Park – Rwanda in collaboration with the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (ICIPE), Nairobi Kenya and the Animal Production & Health division of FAO (Roma).
